Thousands of electric blankets sold online are being recalled after several reports of overheating, burns, and even fires, officials said.
MaxKare has recalled about 8,560 electric blankets, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Wednesday, June 18. The blankets have six heat settings and a nine-hour auto shutoff.

Brake Pedal Defect Prompts Massive Recall Of Honda, Acura Vehicles
More than 259,000 Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled because their brake pedals may shift out of place, increasing crash risks, officials said.
The recall impacts about 259,033 Honda and Acura vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Monday, June 16. The vehicles affected include the Acura TLX, Acura MDX, and Honda Pilot.
The brake pedal pivot pin in certain vehicles wasn't properly secured during production, the NHTSA said. This could allow the brake pedal to shift sideways, making it difficult for the driver to slow down or stop the car.
