26 Dogs Seized In Raid Of Puppy Mill In Area An alleged puppy mill was busted over the weekend after a person who adopted a dog tipped off officials that the puppies were kept in horrible conditions. The Hudson Valley SPCA Law Enforcement, along with state police, raided a Pine Bush home with a warrant following a months-long investigation into the suspected puppy mill, according to Gene Hecht, the SPCA’s humane law enforcement officer. Dozens Of Malnourished Goats Seized From Hudson Valley Farm Twenty-seven goats and a calf were within days of death when found by Hudson Valley SPCA officials on an Orange County farm after receiving a complaint.  The goats were discovered after Gene Hecht, chief of the Hudson Valley SPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement Division, applied for a warrant to raid the farm in the Town of Goshen after investigating.
