Reports Of Man Yelling, Acting Strangely Lead To DWI Arrest On Route 9W

STONY POINT, N.Y. -- A 60-year-old man was arrested after police received numerous 911 calls Tuesday about a man yelling and acting strangely on Route 9W, according to the Stony Pont Police.

One caller was able to provide police with a license plate number, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.

Officers responded to address on the license and found Richard Licata, 60, of Tomkins Cove, Hylas added.

After an investigation, Licata was charged with DWI. He was processed and later released with an appearance ticket with a court date of Sept. 26.
