Éowyn Toscano, a joyful and courageous little girl from Lindenhurst, was recently diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumor, turning her family’s world upside down.

A North Jersey girl has died after a nearly 15-month cancer battle.
Maya Ciprian, of Bloomfield, passed away at home late Sunday night, May 26, loved ones said on a GoFundMe campaign launched for her parents, Claudio and Tiffany.
“As long as we stay together, anything is possible,” Maya said just hours before she died, according to the campaign, which had raised $116,000 as of press time.

A beloved Hudson Valley teacher has died after a battle with a brain tumor.
Orange County resident Sue Giza, age 52, of Middletown, a 10th-grade math teacher Monroe-Woodbury High School in Central Valley, died on Monday, May 24.
"During her time at Monroe-Woodbury, she inspired many young people and was a kind and supportive colleague. She will forever be missed," the school district said.

For 25 years, Lorenza De La Villa of Teaneck barely noticed the small tumor in the back of her head.
She found it in 1995, when she was 64 years old.
